Commission Update & Scrapbag Give-Away

Picture what you can do with these scraps.

The commission is moving along. I left you all with just pictures of the patterns all blown up. They are now pretty far along. The picture here shows the three tops ready for couching -- then they're off for embellishing.

I also have hinted that the size of the bag of scraps these pieces have produced is pretty large indeed. So large I think I'll split it in two and we can have a contest to determine who will win one of the scrap bags. I took a quick picture of the bunch, but keep in mind they these are almost all silk scraps and a lot of them are small, small pieces.

Now if you'd like to have a chance in winning one of the scrap bags you need to:

  • Be a follower of my blog and leave a comment here -- and please note a favorite color that you see in the quilts.
  • If you share the post you'll get your name in for extra chances.

Next Wed. I'll randomly pick two lucky winners and send them off a bag of these fun scraps.

Are you ready? Set? GO!

Hi Rose, I didn't even know you had a blog! I just named you as a strong influence on my quilting in part of my City & Guilds. My final quilt piece was inspired by your technique and can be seen here http://www.lindakemshall.com/DesignMattersOnlineCoursesGalleryGraduateAmandaHouse.html

Three lovely quilts and gorgeous bright colours, something I'm only just learning to expand into! Any of the brights, reds, yellows, oranges, would help me go further.

I love hearing from you all! Funny at just how far a colorful bag of scraps can take us!

These quilts are well on their way to being works of art. I especially like the one on the right but the other two are just beautiful. You are one happy quilter. I could surely make good use of your scraps. Pat Statzer

Rose-it was wonderful seeing one of these in person on the Hawaii cruise. I love the flowers against the bluey-purples of the sky and fields.

Gorgeous quilts! Trying to pick a favorite color is like asking which cat is my favorite - depends on the day! LOL! Wishing you a beautiful weekend.

Your colors are wonderful. The flowers in the foreground pull you into the landscape in the back. Thanks for sharing.
